Atheists, why does science go against believing in a god?

Really, it was only some fundamentalists that made into something that has nothing to do with god. What it science? It's simply making a discovery of this world that we still don't fully understand? Who says that god and science don't go hand and hand (nobody said he made this world with a magic wand)? Response?
