I have a houseplant on a high shelf, am tired of getting out the ladder and dragging it through the house.?

Any ideas how I could water it? I tried to use a water wand and 1. it drips at the connection 2. its not tall enough to reach. The plant is high up on a vaulted ceiling. I thought of using a gripper reacher device, but only can find short ones. Any genius ideas out there, or something inexpensive to buy? Thanks... and my plant thanks you...
