I need to know if my husbands job is allowed to take away labor hours?

my husband works for a car care company. The manager recently told him that when he cant get a customer to agree to the work needed to fix there car, he will cut the labor time it calls for so that he can get the sale. So if the computer calls for 3 hours labor the manager is cutting it down to 1.5 hours labor. This wouldn't really be that big of deal except my husband gets paid more if he brakes base, but he cant brake base if the labor hours are cut. So i need to know if they are allowed to do this? My husband at one time used to manage that shop and was not being treated fairly so he ended up quiting and they recently called him and asked him to come back. I have in the past called wage and hour on them for shorting him on his check for a holiday. he was getting paid salary and the week for the holiday they changed his salary amount down 100. so he didn't get paid for it. Yes, it is definitely worth purchasing a good eyeshadow primer. I use Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance every day because nothing lasts on my eyes without one of them. I wear my makeup for 12+ hours most days and I would look a mess if my eyeshadow faded so to me the primer is a staple. The Naked palette is my favorite eyeshadow palette to date (I got two when they first came out) and sin is my favorite shadow color so I have to assume that UDPP in sin is gorgeous! Invest in the sin color primer since you like it so much and use the sample size of the regular primer before you buy it. That way you can try both and see which you like the best. If you still want both then you will also have time to save up a bit for the original. The squeeze tube is your best bet since you can get every drop out of it. I had the bottle with the wand and it was hard to get all of the product out. I had my husband cut the bottle one open and there was a ton or primer left in it! I'm a pretty straight-edge 19-yr-old second year college student, who's really focused on school. Recently, though, I have met and started dating someone a bit older than myself and who is more sexually liberated. They respect me, but I realize they want more eventually, and gradually I notice are getting me to experiment a bit further and further, which I am okay with for the most part. However, I realize everything has a consequence. Even though we are not having intercourse and I don't think I would like to do so, (since I'm not sure where I stand with such things, I don't want to rush into anything unless I'm completely certain of what I want from life and what my moral stance on sex is), fooling around always leaves the door open for accidents. In order to be responsible and provide a back-up plan for any accidents which may occur, I am considering perusing getting on an oral contraceptive. However, I'm really close with my family, and can't really hide anything from them, nor do I want to. Here then is my dilemma. I've really not told them yet of this person I've started dating (well, as being someone more than a friend to me or how I feel about them)...a fellow intern at a research center I met while on internship for two terms...and the fact that I'm becoming more explorative may surprise and perhaps disappoint them to some degree, though I know they would in the end appreciate my honesty more than anything. In perusing information about backing up in Vista Home Basic, I learned that it's not possible to back up the entire C drive, only basic user files. When I first installed Vista, I was poking around all the features and I remember using the backup feature. However, I THOUGHT I had backed up my entire C drive. Why is it that religious people who are taught to be kind and forgiving, can be so hateful?

I don't understand. I have been browsing around the S&R board looking for some insight. I have attended many churches in my albeit short life, from the backyard baptist church (literally behind my childhood trailer park) to the Kingdom Hall, to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Yet through all of my spiritual perusing i still have yet to find answers, faith, or even some semblance of sense. And it's not for lack of trying. I currently have a cattle dog mix who will catch squirrels without even injuring them, but I used to have two terriers who would kill and eat lizards, birds, snakes, mice, rats, etc. Basically anything that would fit in their mouth. I think it depends a lot on the dog, and maybe the breed. Terrier were bred to kill rodents, but cattle dogs are supposed to herd and keep safe the flock. Labs, at least, are bred as retrievers, so it makes sense that he wouldn't eat it.

I having trouble finding a good paying job out there what can I do.?

I have minimal work over 2 year span resume. I do costumer service mainly courtesy I'm asking for more hours but aside from that I been looking. On a personal note I took some time off to recover from surgery prevented me from working in a comfortably consistent rate. I can see why there building me up slowing in hours but its been hitting hard at my home for my moms I do most what I can for her. I been not sleeping or being focus enough to look harder I been doing what I can and realize I want to move up and just man up to peruse something else. I been working as courtesy for 9 months I have mental slumps time to time and I get sick of it of wasting my time at home sleeping till 4 am and waking up at 3 after. I recovering from surgery that's not proceeding to be healing as I wanted to be but healing slowing I just got to chill a bit and balance out the situation a bit in my life now and think this through positively and leave the negative part alone. The mental slumps take a toll out of me I keep chin up for the most of it and keep moving forward for the best. I don't know if anyone is like this, but I'm so ultra sensitive that I do not want to have friends and this appears to others that I don't care about anybody. The reason I don't want friends is because I know I'll avoid them when they start talking about hard times in their lives and feelings of sadness. 18 year girl who's planning to move out in the next year, advice?

I've applied for what seems like a millllllllllllion jobs, and i'm waiting to hear back. I'm also planning to start moving out in the next year. I'm a bit confused (as i've lived with my mum till now), as to how everything works. Obviously as a young girl, my job isn't very high paying, so how do people make ends meet who get low wage? It seem's like flats cost soo much to rent (Especially in London) and that doesn't even include bills, food, essentials etc.

I was perusing the internet to kill time and a message appeared that said my laptop has a virus (it didn't specify what it was) and that it should be taken care of asap to prevent from losing any files. The laptop was given to me from my big bro, and I haven't really worried about protection til now. There's a McAfee Security Scan Plus software already installed, but the laptop cannot find any active virus protection. The Windows 7 software site has the BullGuard software free for 90 days, and I want to download that for now, checking to see if it will take care the problem, and then download the 2 year virus protection for $60. Do I need to download a new virus protection? Are there free alternatives that are just as effective and reliable?

Flea's, how long can they survive without a host?

hi, i recently have been informed that my place of work has had a flea infestation, the cat flea type, and they have ccalled in pest control to fumigate the area. a few members of staff have since complained that their homes have now been infested through carrying the fleas home on there uniform. i, at first thought everyone was jumping (pardon the pun) at the opportunity of a few extra pound in their wages for compensation, as our work ( a major clothing outlet) were paying out on any products or infestation control that staff have had to pay out. i wasnt really concerned myself as i had no bites on my body like some of the others, also i have no animals in the house and had no real reason to concern myself. now it seems my 4 year old daughter has two bites on the ankle, well at least i think thats what they are, she is complaining of an annoying itch shortly after the bumps arrived, she has now a further two on her tummy. hubby got one on the lower leg the following day, however, my other daughter and i seem totally untouched. anyway, the long and short of the story is, i am wondering how long these vermin can survive without an animal to live on??? i have took all the bed clothes off and boil washed them, the only carpet in the house, in my bedroom, i have hoovered. do i need to do anything else??? i havent seen one pysically in front of me and have been looking all over the bed in our room as thats were the bites seem to be occurring. will they die of if there is only a couple??

I need advice on how to talk to a girl?

I'm 17 in my senior year of high school. I have no experience with the opposite sex at all, I don't even have any friends that are girls. What to do about my boss/roommate yelling at her kids all day everyday?

I work as a nanny to 3 kids, and one is very difficult with huge emotional and behavioral issues. I have received numerous compliments from friends and there family on the positive changes that have came about since i have been there nanny. They went through 6 nannies in 3 years, and i am the only one who has stayed and taken an invested roll in the girl, of which i have been told no one else could get along with her. Well my question is, part of my pay, which is i believe to be below minimum wage, is to live at the house, since the mother works 24 hours shifts. I do not make enough to pay to live anywhere else. Well the problem is that the mother yells at the kids all the time, almost 6 to 10 times a day, i hear her yelling, and it seems to always be right outside my bedroom door, or my window, at ground level. I "hide" in my room constantly when the mother is here, part to give them there space, and privacy, and part because i do not enjoy interaction with the mother, because she always asks me to work overtime without pay, and she is always in a bad mood. the yelling is so distracting, and starts as soon as the kids get home from school, or when the whole family gets home from going somewhere. I can barely get anything done, from work, paying bills, all the work people have to keep up on, (looking for a new job), my entire to do list. The family is on vacation this week and i have been so productive with getting stuff done, that i have realized just how bad her yelling is effecting my emotional well being, and productivity. I have tried working in my car, and to hot this time of year, and i go to the library which is the best alternative, but then need to go get food, etc, and end up spending money, and not getting alot done because of people talking, or loud kids at the library. i would appreciate some idea's as to what other people would do in this situation. I am looking for another job, but with this economy it is a bit of a slow process. I feel if my room and board are part of the pay, i should have a right to a peaceful environment, and not have to listen to all that yelling, of which it doesn't take to get the kids to behave, they do just fine, and i NEVER yell at them, so as to show them that isn't the only way to communicate. Also when there mother is here, all the kids yell alot also, and the girl screems all the time, and fights with her brothers, when im on duty and the mother is gone, non of the kids yell, or scream or fight. It is very peaceful when she isnt here, and when she is, you can tell the anxiety of the kids goes through the ceiling, as does mine. If i were to say something to her, what would be appropriate? Recently, while I was perusing the local flea market, I came across an old metal clarinet. I could tell that the body was gold plated, with the keys most likely being sold silver (could be plated though) it looked very nice and there was little ware for how old it was. I have minimal work over 2 year span resume. I do costumer service mainly courtesy I'm asking for more hours but aside from that I been looking. On a personal note I took some time off to recover from surgery prevented me from working in a comfortably consistent rate. I can see why there building me up slowing in hours but its been hitting hard at my home for my moms I do most what I can for her. There's always been loads of 'trash' books around - it's just that only the good ones are remembered. There are plenty of truly excellent modern writers around, they're just sometimes difficult to find. I find Iain Banks books incredibly interesting, especially 'The Bridge'. Or Christopher Brookmyre write satirical detective/thriller style books which are perhaps not 'literary' but are well-written and engaging. I am about to be 18, I have a 2 year old son, and I want to move out. How can I do this?

I found a 2 bedroom apartment for $675 a month. I did the math and if I found a job that paid minimum wage and I work 8 hours a week i'd make $1152 a month. I added up how much food, water and electric bill with the rent. I would have to pay about $1080 a month. I would have $72 left over for assentials, but I would also get $185 a month TANF a month maybe more. So that gives me a little extra :) I'm also almost positive that I would get food stamps. I dont have to pay a cell phone bill because i'm on my dads plan. The goverment is helping me with day care so I only have to pay like $15 a month for day care. I'm wondering if this is a good plan and if anyone has any ideas to add of to correct me? I would really appreciate some advice ASAP :)

Can someone help me with my 01 ford Windstar?

I was driving and all of a sudden my Windstar died. No sputtering, no chugging, and was running fine before this. I have spark. But no fuel pressure. I cant hear the fuel pump turn on when I turn the switch on. I was wondering if there could be another problem other than the fuel pump? I checked the reset button in the back by the jack and it was not tripped. Could this be the relay? do fuel pumps just go bad all of a sudden? I was pretty low on gas. maybe 3 or 4 gallons in the tank. I put about 5 gallons into the tank still nothing. any ideas i should peruse before buying a $250 fuel pump and dropping the tank? Thanks.

I have been offered a job as Sessional Support Worker. Support Worker for this company is my ideal job so I was delighted after having been unemployed for a few months. Why not start by getting a "real job" in writing? MANY MANY authors out there, who already knew their true vocation was in writing start out as reporters (online, print, genre-specific online reporting, etc.). This Career? Greek? What do you think?

Okay, i absolutely ADORE Greece. My aunt is Greek and i just love the culture, language, food, the history, and who can forget: THE BEAUTY! I also like hospitality and tourism and foriegn language. So i figured, why not combine my two loves? I mean we have to work for a living, why not do something we love, eh? So i was thinking in college i would study hospitality, business, and the Greek language(and then study abroad in greece, to get the feel). And then, hopefully, i can work in hospitality there, and one day open my own hotel/resort/tourist thing. Hopefully i can live there too. Don't get me wrong, I love America, it's my homeland, but i want to live in the world not just my country. I understand that women aren't viewed the same in Greece and that they're a little less socially forward with women than in other countries like America(i'm a female). But, honestly, I feel like no matter what there is going to be sexism anywhere you go, towards women and men, so why not peruse Greece, just because something isn't easy doesn't mean you shouldn't try. I owe my previous landlord money and we had set up a payment arrangement starting next month. As long as I gave him a certain amount each month he was not going to sue me. Should I dress dress up for the midnight premirere of Harry Potter?

Here in a couple weeks me and my friend are going to the midnight premiere of the last Harry Potter. We were wanting to wear our Hot Topic Gryffindor and Slytherin shirts with ties, Harry Potterish looking skirts, wands, Harry Potter glasses scar, and knee high socks to look like Hogwarts Students. Need help talking to a girl?

I'm 17 in my senior year of high school. I have no experience with the opposite sex at all, I don't even have any friends that are girls. However, there is a girl I like and I want to get to know her, her number, ask her out, etc, but I just have no idea how to go about doing it. I'm quite honestly terrified of talking to anyone I feel attracted to. I have asperger syndrome so social situations make me feel very uncomfortable. I can be pretty sloppy when i talk and I tend to come off as a bit blunt/cold. I feel very self conscience about this so that makes it even worse and I start to studder a lot. I know that I'm fairly attractive, athletic, physically fit, and I value my intelligence most. In fact i'm very confident in just about every thing else in life except for when it comes to girls. I don't even know if im in the right position to be perusing a girl right now. I live with my single mother and were not exactly well off, so I only have a few pairs of cloths (which is embarrassing) and no phones what so ever. I've really only got one friend and I get very uneasy going out to public places (not that im to scared to, I just prefer not to). So I've basicly been staring at this girl all year with out a clue in the world of how to approach her. Do you find some Finchel fans extremely annoying?

On Glee, a lot of people are obsessed with Finn and Rachel for some reason. I used to like them, but they proved to be an unhealthy couple. It's like they expect us to root for them, when Rachel has been a manipulative person in this. She acted as if she had rights over Finn, when actually, Quinn has been in the game with Finn for a long time and Rachel is just some new girl who just came in Finn's life. I used to like them a lot, but Rachel has proved to be just as mean as Quinn. I can relate to Quinn more because she's just like every other insecure teen, but Finchel fans are so idealistic and are usually young teenaged girls who didn't get the popular guy they wanted, so they use their lost dreams on two fictional characters. Rachel basically said, "I know you're dating Finn, but I'm not giving up on him. It's not over and I'm going to keep perusing him until you two break up." That warrants a slap across the face. Fuinn aren't a good couple either, but Finchel aren't any better. If they're really "endgame", then I'll be annoying because it's cliche. Why can't the pretty, blonde girl be happy and get the guy she wants? Why does every teen show/movie have to consist of the popular guy and not-popular girl getting together at the other girl's expense. Is the moral of the story: If you're like any other kid in high school who has been mean and not perfect, you deserved to get your partner taken from you by someone you mortally despise? Rachel is just jealous of Quinn because she knows that's Finn's first love, and she even admitted it. That's why she likes to compare herself to Quinn, because no matter what Rachel does, Quinn will always be Finn's first love. She had the nerve crying after the Regionals episode when Quinn rightfully told her off like she was with Finn forever and Quinn was just some girl butting her way in it, when it's vice versa.
